My name is David Starr and I am Starr Internet Services, LLC. I have been a web designer/developer for about 12 years and a graphic artist for a lot longer. I live and work in beautiful Chester County, PA - West Chester to be precise but I've got clients in York, PA, Wilmington, DE and Dover, DE to name a few. The beauty of the Internet is that people from far away places can collaborate just as easily as if they were sitting in the same room. So, if you're thinking you'd like to work together, let's talk, okay?

Starr Internet Services, LLC was borne out of passion. I was working for a corporation as their web developer building and maintaining their company website and intranet. While I was thankful for the steady job, the benefits and a place to go every day, I felt like there was more out there to explore. Working on a single site, day in and day out lacked a certain level of excitement and diviserty. As a result, my creativity suffered, I needed more. So, when the opportunity to freelance fell into my lap, I jumped at the chance - a blank canvas, a fresh start, a new beginning. The most valuable thing I took away from that first job was the knowledge that I could help people achieve a goal. Yes, the paycheck was nice too, don't get me wrong. But the satisfaction of knowing that what I had done for that client, solved a problem for them. The website I created gave them an opportunity they otherwise would not have had. That made me feel good.

Over time, I've honed my skills as a developer, a business man, and a salesman - although I focus more on the former rather than the latter. I also work very hard at being a good listener and communicator. My clients rely on me to take their wants and needs and shape them into something concrete and effective. In order to do that well, I have to be able to listen, not just hear but truely listen. My great grandfather had a saying, "You're a good listener, but a damn poor heeder." I strive to be good at both!
